Advertise on VisaBacklog
VisaBacklog publishes the State Department's Visa Bulletin record and USCIS processing times for people waiting in the green card queues. This page sets out who reads the site, what formats are offered, and what we require of advertisers. The site is preparing to launch; traffic figures are available on request.
Who reads each part of the site
| Section | Readers | Typical advertisers |
|---|---|---|
| EB-2 / EB-3 India and China wait pages | Employment-based applicants, largely H-1B workers already in the US | Business-immigration law firms, EB-1/NIW petition services, remittance and tax services for non-residents |
| EB-5 pages (I-526E, I-829, I-956) | EB-5 investors | EB-5 regional centers and related services |
| Family pages (F1–F4, Mexico and the Philippines) | Family-based applicants, many outside the US | Family-immigration law firms, certified translation, remittance |
| USCIS processing times | People with pending petitions and applications | Immigration law firms, civil surgeons, credential evaluation services |
Formats
- Display advertising through programmatic networks, in reserved fixed-height slots kept outside all data tables and source citations.
- Monthly sponsorship of a page group (for example, the EB-5 pages), labelled as sponsored wherever it appears.
- Email alert sponsorships (planned, alongside a future email alert list).
What we require of advertisers
- Attorneys must supply a state bar number. Non-attorney representatives must hold DOJ-accredited representative status.
- Advertising by law firms must carry the “Attorney Advertising” labelling required in the states where it appears. This is the advertiser's responsibility; ads without it will not run.
- All paid placements are labelled. Nothing on this site is editorial coverage for sale, and ads never appear inside the data tables or the per-page source citations the site's accuracy rests on.
